The LNFWI has had a long and
happy association with BBC Radio Lincolnshire thanks to the efforts of our Radio
Officer, who has been invited to take part in Sue Taylor's new Saturday morning
show. This started on Saturday 15th September 2007 at 10.20 am as a forerunner to a regular slot starting in October. This will
be a WI diary slot similar to Mary Porter's Wildlife Diary, which has been
running for a while on Les Sheehan's Saturday morning show.
The Federation Radio Officer
will be pleased for those who previously registered with her, as WI Radio
Officers for their individual WIs, to continue to pass on to her any news about
happenings in their area; the emphasis will be on those events
particularly pertaining to the main thrust of WI campaigns, etc.
She writes: "This is a golden
opportunity for us to have another regular slot on BBC Radio Lincolnshire and I
intend to do my best for Lincolnshire North and South. I look forward to hearing
from you again."
