Denman College is the WI's own residential lifelong
learning centre. It was opened on 24th September 1948 and was
named after Lady Denman, who was the first Chairman of the WI movement
and had just retired after 30 years in office.
In an elegant Georgian country house, set in 17 acres
of landscaped gardens, the college provides over 500 courses each year
in a friendly and comfortable learning environment. These 2 - 4
day courses cover a wide range of subjects and take place either in the
main house or in the modern purpose-built teaching centre.
The annual programme is delivered with your WI
LIFE magazine or can be obtained by sending an A4 SAE to the college
at the address given above.
