MEMBERSHIP SERVICES SUB COMMITTEE Membership Services is the committee of WIAs (WI Advisers). The WIAs are appointed and trained by NFWI in all matters regarding the Constitution, Finance and the running of WIs. A WIA is there to give help and advice to WIs and to arrange training programmes for WIs and Groups in all WI procedures, eg: Programme Planning. It is the responsibility of WIAs to open and suspend WIs; no WI may be opened or suspended without a WIA being present. WI Advisers are willing to speak at any WI meeting, not just at Annual Meetings. They are also available at any time if advice is needed; a standing charge of £10 will be made towards travel as this is an extra visit. (A cheque for £10 should be made payable to Lincolnshire North FWI and handed to the WIA on the night of her visit.)
ART CRAFT AND LEISURE WORKING GROUP Responsible for the promotion of Leisure and Art & Craft activities among WI members, including Art, Sport and Home Economics. It arranges courses competitions, exhibitions and demonstrations in these areas for WI members.
This committee has responsibility for Education, Science, Social Issues, Health, Transport, Environment and Consumer Affairs and all other aspects of Government, International, National and Local. It initiates and follows up on National and Federation mandates and arranges courses and events to encourage interest in these matters.
