saltfleetby WI goes from strength to strength!
PIE SUPPER
Wednesday, 17th November 2010
at
St Peter's Church, Saltfleetby.
22 members and guests gathered at St Peter's Church, Saltfleetby, for what turned out to be an evening to remember.
President
Jenny, ably assisted by Gil, undertook to cook the main course for the evening.
What a tasty treat was set before us!
Succulent beef, nestling under what must surely be award-winning pastry, was
cooked to perfection.
Peggy and Colin had organised the seating and tables, furnishing us with a delightfully eye-catching welcome as we arrived.
As usual, members had pulled out
all the stops when it came to providing the desserts:
a well-laden and colourful buffet table happily set our taste buds to
work.
After teas and coffees were served there was ample time to sit and chat or to take part in an unusual card game introduced to us by Jenny.
It seemed as if the raffle would never end, there being so many prizes generously donated by members.
When it was time to start clearing up, members again showed their metal and despatched the washing-up in a trice.
Next day, Peggy and Colin returned to restore St Peter's to its usual pristine condition.
THANK YOU, ONE AND ALL,
FOR A DELIGHTFUL
EVENING.
