ABOUT US:

THE SOMERCOTES  GROUP OF WIs

The Somercotes Group is led by Acting Group Convenor, Terri Ashby, who has been the Group's Honorary Secretary for the past few years and continues to act in this role.

She is ably assisted by the the Home Econimics Leader and the Group Treasurer, together with all the other Committee Members who represent their WIs. 

THE SOMERCOTES GROUP COMMITTEE
Each of the 9 WIs in The Somercotes Group is eligible to send two members as representatives to each Group Committee meeting.  Committee meetings are held approximately 4 times a year, when the Group's activities and events are reviewed and planned.  The Committee is led by the Group Convenor and assisted in post by the Group Secretary, the Group Treasurer and committee members.

THE SOMERCOTES GROUP'S ACTIVITIES

The Group holds various events throughout the year, including its Spring and Autumn meetings.  Its organising body seeks to book entertaining and informative speakers and demonstrators for these meetings.
